Speaker: CH(LTC) Nate McLean, USA

Chaplain (LTC-P) Nathan McLean began his military career at the Chaplain Officer Basic Course in 1999, graduating as the Distinguished Honor Graduate. CH McLean’s education includes a B.A. from the University of Arkansas and a Master’s of Divinity and an Advanced Master’s in Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Chaplain McLean entered Active Duty in 2005. His previous assignments include serving as Cavalry Squadron Chaplain and Infantry Battalion Chaplain at Fort Drum, NY; Deputy Community Chaplain and Infantry Battalion Chaplain at Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks, HI; Chaplain Captains Career Course at Fort Jackson, SC; Engineer Battalion and Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Chaplain, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Command General and Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS; Stryker Brigade Chaplain, Fort Carson, CO; Operations Group, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Johnson, LA; and the Army Training Command Chaplain in Grafenwöhr, Germany. CH McLean currently serves as Garrison Chaplain, Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Chaplain McLean has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Operation New Dawn, Iraq; and Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. His military education includes the ROTC Basic Course, Chaplain Basic Officer Leader Course, Chaplain Captains Career Course, Chaplain Operational Leadership Course, Command and General Staff College, Observer/Coach/Mentor-Trainer Course, and the NATO Operations Course. He is authorized to wear the Combat Action Badge and Parachutist badge.
